Junking Dry Spell

I haven't been junking in a while. I'm getting really anxious for yard sale season to begin. During my lunch hour a couple days last week I did venture out to the local thrift stores. It seems to have been a silver week. The first day I found this pitcher? it doesn't have a handle and never had one but it does have a pour spout. It is also engraved. It says "To a manager who dared to be a leader." I think it is pretty neat. Another day I found this three piece set. The pitcher in this group has a broken leg. All three were priced for $4.00 but it was 50% off so $2 for a creamer, sugar and pitcher. Not bad.

I'm figuring out "Pinterest" online and I love it. I can pin and look at pins for hours and I don't really have hours to devote to it. It is a great way to see so many pretty things. It is a resource for new projects. New recipes, decorating ideas, crafts, clothes, style, photos, you name it you can find it on Pinterest. It is like all the great magazines rolled into one and it is FREE! I found this bulletin board at a yard sale last summer and I snatched it right up. It is 5' tall. I have it in my craft room and intended to fill it up with neat ideas. This was before I discovered Pinterest. The board is like Pinterest and I have started pinning items that are special to me. It is so nice to have a place to share what is important to you and a place to look for inspiration both online and here in my cozy space at home.

Happy Trails

The elk are on the move. The trails are more travelled even now as this picture is a week old. They travel from the high timber to the valley fields and back again under the cover of darkness . One morning on the way to work we did catch them crossing the road. A couple of Sunday mornings we were lucky enough to spot large herds heading into the trees. The trail cam is up in a new location so we hope to get some on film.

2012

I have had a week now to think about the new year ahead. I've been looking for something to inspire me. To give me a direction for my goals. To incorporate into daily life so this year can have me moving forward. I found this on pinterest and it says a lot in a few words. I think if I ask myself those questions it will help me focus. It breaks it down into six pretty good categories don't you think? I am ready to get started....so here I go. Welcome 2012.

I'M SICK!

Any guesses what this represents? There are 17 bags here...all empty except 2. I'm working on those now. I have a disease. I need a 12 step program. Help! I'm working on a plan, but of course, now it won't start 'til Monday.....maybe that's part of the problem.
