WEATHER

This beautiful storm rolled through and it was fun to watch from the comfort of our covered carport. The rain that fell was hard and fast and blowing sideways with the wind. We hopped in the car to drive to LaGrande and the wipers couldn't keep up with the downpour. It was extreme. Thankfully nothing like other parts of the country are experiencing.

The rains came down and the floods came up.

Our land is on the high side of the valley. This is just a sampling of the water that has accumulated on the lowland. Many fields are lakes and rivers.

Spring Fling 2011

My niece, Alexa, organized her first Sisters on the Fly camp out. We went to Emigrant Springs and camped. The weather was beautiful even at that elevation. The sound of semi's rolling down the freeway reminded us of the ocean waves coming in. We went to Athena for their city wide yard sale event. Saturday night we met up with another sisters group for dinner at Hamley's Steakhouse in Pendleton. It was delicious. It was another great sisters outing.

Nothing like sitting around a soothing, relaxing, mesmerizing fire....ahhhhh!

Lexy asked if I could come up with an easy craft. I love to craft, even while camping, so I thought up a quick candle jar. We jazzed them up with some trinkets and tags.

.....and here are the finished products. A little personalized glow for each trailer.

Something Special

I had a great day Saturday at the bazaar. Set-up Friday went quickly and smoothly so we were out of there way before we usually are. Sandra asked if there was room for "big" stuff. We have a huge booth space to fill. She is moving out of two apartments and brought lots of things. Our two best customers were peeking their heads in the door ready to shop. They are sisters too. We were busy, busy for the first few hours. I was redecorating as things sold while Sandra and Lexy ran the checkout table. We sold a lot of things. In fact it was our best spring show ever.
It is fun to buy but is also fun to sell. We get so many compliments on our items and our booth.

That's that for the spring show until next year.

Come One, Come All

One of our big "Sister Shic" events is this weekend. I am busy getting ready for it but I feel out of sorts with items and display pieces spread all over the valley. It's difficult having things still packed or in storage. I only participated in the Christmas show for a few minutes after setting up(due to my niece's wedding and reception that weekend) so I am excited to be back for the whole event. Friday is a frantic day getting everything there and in it's place then Saturday is quite enjoyable. We have awesome customers who support us every time! Said niece from above is joining our little booth with some items of her own. Hope to see you there!
